SKINNY BAGEL RECIPE

This easy skinny weight watcher friendly homemade bagel recipe is a must-try for every weight watcher follower, made from scratch with just four (4) ingredients – flour, Greek yogurt, egg white, baking powder, and bagel seasoning mix!

No yeast, no boiling, no fancy mixer. Bake them in the oven or in the air-fryer!

Please Don’t skip the water bath and egg wash– this should provide an extra chewy and golden brown crust.

For me Just thinking about these bagels makes my mouth water. It’s super easy to make, and it yields delicious, chewy bagels every time.

Ingredients:

All-purpose flour

Baking powder

Plain Greek yogurt

Large egg

Everything but the bagel seasoning mix

How to make Skinny Bagel Recipe:

Step 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.

Step 3. Add the Greek yogurt to the bowl, and mix until just combined into a dough.

Step 4. Flour a counter, and place the dough onto it. Coat the dough in flour just enough to make it still a bit sticky to the touch, but easy to handle.

Step 5. Form four circles of dough.

Step 6. Roll each circle of dough into a 5-6 inch long roll, and connect the ends together to form a bagel shape with a hole in the center. Pinch the ends together to make them stay.

Step 7. Brush the top of the bagels with the large egg that has been beaten, and then sprinkle on the bagel seasoning.

Step 8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through and golden brown.

The water bath would come after you have formed the dough into the bagel. Put water in a big pan bring to a boil then add bagels to the water boil one min then flip over and boil the other side a min. Put them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper do the egg wash ( I do just egg white) then sprinkle your seasoning on top and bake. Hope this helps.

I’m confused. One whole egg or one egg white to brush on the bagel to make the seasoning to stick??
