How easy is Instant Pot Jalapeño Popper Mac and Cheese to make?

Super easy! As with most Instant Pot meals this is pretty much dump most of the ingredients into your Instant Pot and set it. For this recipe you would need to add the cheese afterward but it’s not hard at all. Easy enough for kids to make and you can do it without jalapeños if you think they will be too spicy.

Can you save leftovers?

ABSOLUTELY. Just seal the Instant Pot Jalapeño Popper Mac and Cheese into an airtight container and you can store for up to 48 hours.

How to reheat Instant Pot Jalapeño Popper Mac and Cheese

You can pop your delicious mac & cheese into the microwave and heat up for 60-90 seconds. Place a paper towel over the top of your container to prevent messes. OR you can transfer your Instant Pot Jalapeño Popper Mac and Cheese to an oven save casserole dish and bake at 325° for about 20 minutes. Instant Pot Jalapeno Popper Mac and Cheese

Instant Pot Jalapeño Popper Mac And Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 lb elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp Cajun Seasoning 
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 8 oz shredded italian cheese
  • 8 oz colby jack cheese, cut into cubes
  • 8 oz chopped bacon
  • 1/4 C chopped jalapeno's

Instructions

  1. Add macaroni, water, butter, and cajun seasoning, to your instant pot.
  2. Give a quick stir so that all the ingredients are combined.
  3. Close lid and seal valve on your Instant Pot.
  4. Set to high pressure, 6 minutes in manual mode.
  5. When it's done, do a quick release.
  6. Set the Instant Pot in warm mode.
  7. Add in your milk and both of your cheeses.
  8. Stir and mix until cheese is fully melted and is a creamy sauce.
  9. Stir in your chopped bacon and jalapenos
