I LOVE this Stars in the Sky Lantern! It’s incredibly easy to make – plus when the lights are out this lantern illuminates star shapes all over your room. This beauty would be lovely for a wedding, baby shower, holiday gathering, or just as a pretty nightlight! Here’s how to make it:
You will need:
- A glass jar, clean – I used an Adams Natural Peanut Butter Jar
- foil star-shaped stickers
- gold spray craft paint
- battery operated string lights with batteries
Start by sticking stars everywhere on the jar. You can put as little or as much as you’d like (I prefer lots!). Then spray the jar and lid with craft spray paint in a well-ventilated area and allow to dry completely, at least 2 hours. Once dry, remove all of the stickers. Place the lights in the jar and enjoy!
I ended up taking this jar to Multnomah Falls and hid it for someone to find – I would encourage YOU to pass it along, you may just make someone’s day!

It is SO pretty – looks just like little fireflies (or fairies!) that were caught in a jar. We are hoping whoever finds it will share on social media – I will share as soon as they do! Here’s how to make it […]
