Summer Goals = Life Goals And My 100 Day Journey To Happiness

My weight has been fluctuating. I can’t stand it, one week I am down 5 lbs, the next I am back up. It’s not fun trying to put the jeans that fit me last week on and have a hard time zipping them. Please know I am not body shaming myself or anyone. I have just gotten to a point where I am not totally comfortable in my own skin. I am embarking on 100 Day Journey to feeling better about myself.

So I am making a small change. I am eating something for breakfast every morning. Something good something easy. Something full of protein and will help me start my day right. Something like Adams Natural Peanut Butter.

I have found that eating something high in protein helps sustain my energy throughout the day and sets the tone for a productive day. My #1 choice is Adams Natural Peanut Butter paired with rice cakes, English muffin, apples, or toast. Because peanuts are so high in protein I know I am starting my day off right, I will be able to sustain some of that morning energy, and I will be more motivated to get what I need to done – things like chasing after the kids, getting my work done, and fun excursions like the park, zoo, and the Oregon coast. If you haven’t been to the Oregon coast you don’t know what you are missing!

I have a summer-end goal of hiking up Multnomah Falls, so stay tuned for that. It’s been years since I have been there but I am itching to get back…

After my breast reduction surgery I lost about 20 lbs from where I was before. I have since gained 9 of those pounds back, simply because I haven’t been watching what I eat and have been filling my body with about 75% junk. This isn’t going to work for me anymore. I could say I have a “summer goal of losing x-amount of weight”, but really? My goal is to feel happy and energized.  Losing weight is a natural part of that process when you weight 174.8 lbs. So peanut butter is going to be my secret weapon, and Adams Natural Peanut Butter is my choice.

Do you have any #LifeGoals? I’d love to hear about them!
