THIS IS A HAMBURGER SOUP! This is great made ahead of time, reheats well and freezes perfectly!
I must admit I used to fix that soup for my kids when they were at home and young they loved it they are all grown and have kids of their own son has other kids too LOL we called it hamburger stew 🙂
Others call this Poor Man’s stew! Sauter beef, onion, seasonings, crushed tomatoes, elbow Mac & wen simmered add canned fr beans cut into smaller pieces, fold in, heat to simmer & serve w hard roll or bread.
You can use ground turkey instead. You may need to add 1 can water for your preferred consistency.

Ingredients:
Ground beef
Small red potatoes diced
Onion chopped
Minced garlic
Crushed tomatoes
Tomato soup
Beef broth
Oregano
Basil
Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
How to make Hamburger Soup:
Step 1. Place the ground beef and onions into a large pot or deep sided skillet on the stove over medium-high heat. Continue to saute until the meat is completely browned and the onions are beginning to soften.
Step 2. Drain any extra grease.
Step 3. Add the minced garlic, oregano and basil to the skillet, and saute for 30 seconds longer.

Step 4. Place the potatoes, crushed tomatoes, tomato soup, worcestershire sauce and beef broth into the skillet along with salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine.

Step 5. Put a lid on the pot or skillet, and cook for 20-30 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
Step 6. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving if desired.
