Place the ground beef and onions into a large pot or deep sided skillet on the stove over medium-high heat. Continue to saute until the meat is completely browned and the onions are beginning to soften.
Drain any extra grease.
Add the minced garlic, oregano and basil to the skillet, and saute for 30 seconds longer.
Place the potatoes, crushed tomatoes, tomato soup, worcestershire sauce and beef broth into the skillet along with salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine.
Put a lid on the pot or skillet, and cook for 20-30 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving if desired.
