My husband and I have been hard at work renovating our home. We had the bathroom redone, a new fence installed, and putting in new wood laminate flooring ourselves (it’s not that difficult).
We are most excited about the floors. Before this we had 3 different types of flooring in our home and none of it matched. When we decided to change it all out we headed over to Home Depot and picked the perfect neutral gray (Aged Ashcombe) to go throughout the entire house. And since we now have new floors I am determined to keep them clean. It was almost serendipitous that Ecovacs contacted me to ask for a review of the new Deebot Ozmo 930 Smart Robotic Vacuum. But it’s not only a vacuum…

I know, right? It does the job I hate the most!! And not only that but it is smartphone controlled, so I can keep an eye on it while I am out and about, I can set it while I am getting ready for the day, or I can tell it to mop up whatever the kids dragged in from outside with a couple of clicks. I have a robot vacuum that has been a good one for a few years, but the two things it was lacking is no smartphone capability and it only vacuums. I mean, there are more things lacking, but let’s not dwell on the past and get talking about Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 930.
The Good:
- It sweeps and mops at the same time.
- It maps my whole house so it knows where to go.
- It can be controlled via smartphone.
- It takes the fraction of what my other robot vacuum takes to clean the floors.
- It knows when there is carpet. When it’s in vacuum mode it will increase suction on carpeted areas. When it’s in mop mode it avoids carpet altogether.
- The battery life is nice and long.
The Bad:
ummm… hmmm… I am trying to come up with something.. but it’s not easy. I guess it doesn’t sprout legs do stairs? Which I have no concern with since I don’t have stairs….

WHOA – this sounds perfect! I wonder how it would do vacuuming up the puffs of dog hair from our 70-pound dog? I’ve never heard of this robot vacuum and mop before (love that it also mops!!) and I am definitely going to check it out further. Thanks so much, Carol!

I like that you can draw virtual boundaries to specific areas to clean and to make a schedule, as well.
This looks like it would save me some time. I am amazed how this works.
Really struggling on how to set this thing up. It mapped my house, go to slap the mopping pad on and the map thing disappears saying I need to map my house again. Got any pointers on how to switch from just vacuum to mop AND vacuum?!
