This is a lip scrub that I LOVE – so easy to make too! These would be a perfect gift for the holidays! Here’s how to make it (plus a VIDEO tutorial! Thanks to Nielson-Massey for the perfect Vanilla Sugar to use in this DIY beauty tip!
You will need:
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon petroleum jelly
- 1 1/2 tablespoon of coarse sugar (the Nielson-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Sugar is PERFECT for this)
- a tin or small container (found at Dollar Tree or craft stores)
- 2 craft sticks
- 1 spoon
- 1 small mixing bowl
Use craft sticks to scoop out coconut oil and petroleum jelly. Mix coconut oil and petroleum jelly together thoroughly. Add sugar and mix well. Transfer to container.
To use:
after washing face at night scoop out a small amount of scrub and rub on lips for 15-30 seconds. wipe sugar off with a towel, do not rinse off. This will leave a little moisture on your lips to help seal and heal any cracking. Your lips may feel a bit tingly too – so nice!
