While in LA last year for the red carpet of Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms I also had a chance to meet with three of my favorite Dancing with the Stars dancers – pros and “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” mentors Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten and Gleb Savchenko.

Funny thing is – these three were knee-deep in DWTS: Juniors at the time we met with them. I think we still had a solid 3 or 4 weeks left until the finale – and all three of them made it to the finals. Alan Bersten ultimately won with his team of Sky Brown and JT Church (and the killed it!).

I will admit I was incredibly nervous. I am a terrible dancer. I have zero rhythm, my balance sucks, and I just can move smoothly. Luckily my pro team was patient and encouraging so it was a lot of fun. I seriously had nothing to worry about.

We were sectioned off into three separate teams. I was lucky enough to be partnered with Gleb Savchenko, who along with wife and fellow dancer Elena Samodanova  owns the studio we practiced in.  His calm yet excited demeanor was contagious and made my team and I relaxed and have fun with it.

I loved that it was not only fairly easy to perform, it was so much fun! I felt like my own version of The Ballerina Princess in The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. Actually I felt more like an extra in the background of the ballroom scene but STILL it was a lot of fun.
