Cabbage and Sausages

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Smoked Sausage Cut into sliced
  • 1 tbsp. Bacon Grease
  • 1 Onion Chopped
  • 2 tsp. Garlic Minced
  • 2 tbsp. Sugar
  • ¼ cup Chicken Broth
  • 3 tsp. Caraway Seeds
  • ½ tsp. Seasoning Salt
  • ½ tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
  • ½ cup Bacon Crumbled
  • 1 Head of cabbage Chopped

Instructions
 

  • Saute the sausage in a skillet until cooked through. Set aside.
  • Add the onions and bacon grease to the skillet over medium heat, and saute until softened.
  • Stir in the garlic and saute another 30 seconds.
  • Pour in the chicken broth, sugar, caraway seeds, seasoning salt and red pepper flakes.
  • Mix in the cabbage and cover the skillet. Saute until the cabbage is soft.
  • Add the meat back to the skillet and toss to combine.
  • Sprinkle with the bacon pieces and serve.
