Roasted Parmesan Creamed Onions
These creamed parmesan onions are the perfect side dish for making festive holiday table and main meal recipes or a summer BBQ party in the backyard. The soft-creamed onions are perfect with any meat, fish, or grilled chicken.

- 3 sweet onions peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne optional
- kosher salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
First, preheat your oven to 350 F or 180 C degrees.
Spread onion rings on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Season them with salt and pepper to taste, and drizzle some olive oil on top.
Bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
Increase the temperature to 450F or 220 C degrees. Remove the tray, and in the meantime, mix the heavy cream, wine, butter, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the butter is completely melted.
Pour the heavy cream mixture over the baked onions, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, and bake for another 20 minutes.
Serve and enjoy.
