First, preheat the oven to 350 F or 180 C degrees.
In a nonstick frying pan, saute the ground beef over medium heat until it’s completely browned. It will take around 5 minutes.
Add the Italian seasoning, minced garlic and cook for about 1 more minute.
Stir in the tomato sauce, sugar and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for about 3-4 minutes more.
Mix together the sour cream and cream cheese in a bowl.
Cook the egg noodles until done to your liking and rinse with cold water.
Place ½ of the egg noodles in an even layer in a well-greased 9x13-inch casserole pan.
Top the noodles with half of the cream cheese mixture and half of the meat mixture.
Top with noodles, cream cheese and meat mixture again.
Sprinkle the cheese on top and bake for about 20-25 minutes until done completely.
