Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion diced, small white
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 oz can
  • 1 can tomato sauce 29 oz can
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 cups short pasta

Instructions
 

  • First, in a large pot over medium heat, warm the oil.
  • Stir in the diced onion and cook until soft and tender. Stir in the garlic and cook for one more minute. It will take around five minutes.
  • Then, stir in the ground beef and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook until no longer pink in color and drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in beef broth, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, granulated sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and spices.
  • Bring the whole mixture to a boil and reduce to medium heat to simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • Then, stir in the short macaroni and cook for another 10 minutes until the pasta is cooked.
  • Serve and enjoy.
