Mexican Taco Lasagna

If you love Mexican and Italian food at the same time, this dish is definitely for you. A perfect combination of flavours incorporated into a perfect Mexican lasagna using traditional ingredients.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 1 oz package taco seasoning mix
  • We recommend Ole El Paso or Taco Bell’s flavorful seasoning
  • 1 14 oz can peeled and diced tomatoes with juice
  • 10 6 inches soft corn tortillas
  • 1 cup of your favourite salsa
  • 1 ⁄2 cup shredded gouda cheese
  • Mexican or taco-style cheese works great too

Instructions
 

  • First, preheat your oven to 350 F or 180 C degrees.
  • In a nonstick frying pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef for about 5 minutes. Stir in the taco seasoning and mix until combined.
  • Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with half of the tortillas.
  • Spoon some of the ground beef into the tortillas.
  • Top with the remaining tortillas and spread salsa over them. Top with grated cheese for a nice melty finish.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and buddy.
  • Remove from heat, cool down slightly and enjoy.
  • Top with the remaining tortillas and spread salsa over the top tortillas, then sprinkle with the cheese.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly
  • Remove from the oven, serve and ENJOY!
