Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Costume at Costume SuperCenter (Review)
With Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie coming out August 8th, boys everywhere are pretending to be their favorite Turtle. And whether it’s Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, or Leonardo (or Splinter and April!) you can find some super costumes in different price ranges at Costume Supercenter!
My son Dylan is now a HERO IN A HALF SHELL!
Dylan is super excited to be his favorite of Splinter’s Students. He chose the awesome kitana wielding turtle Leonardo (because his favorite color is blue!) and grabbed one of his own play swords for the full effect! I actually had no idea that Leonardo even had a sword, I guess I need to check my facts on Turtlepedia 😉
The costume Dylan chose is called the Deluxe Leonardo Costume, retailing $36.99 (but check for a SALE!). It comes with the costume, elbow pads, knee pads, and a removable shell that can be stuffed for a 3D effect. Its nice that the shell is removable since Dylan plans to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the theater with daddy – he can take the shell off while he sits in those comfy movie seats.
The costume is 100% polyester. The elbow and knee pads are foam and attach with velcro. You need to be careful and not use too much force when removing them because they can rip, but as long as you know that you’ll be fine. The mask is pliable rubber and not hard plastic, so much more comfortable than the normal plastic ones that come with costumes. The kitana sword (or any of the other turtle weapons) are sold separately but readily available at Costume Supercenter.
You can grab any of the other costumes too! Perfect for movie night or Halloween! Comment below if you end up grabbing one!
