My day goes something like this: Wake up, drink coffee, feed kids, clean, entertain kids, work, clean again, feed kids again, do 3 loads of laundry… you get the idea. So when my husband comes home and asks the dreaded question “what’s for dinner?” I cringe a little. And either pick up the phone to get pizza to throw something frozen in the oven.

Actually, it’s not so bad, I do like to cook, just not all of the time. I like fast and easy – which is why I like McCormick Skillet Sauces! I recently tried out the Sloppy Joe sauce and LOVED it! The taste is delicious and it was so easy to make! I paired the Sloppy Joes with Garlic Parmesan Chips – here’s how to make both!

Sloppy Joes

You will need:

Brown beef or turkey and drain. Add McCormick Skillet Sauce and stir well. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Place the buns into the toaster or oven to toast (I like to use the bagel setting that toasts only one side!

Garlic Parmesan Chips

You will need:

  • 2-3 white potatoes
  • Vegetable oil
  • Coarse salt
  • Garlic powder or garlic salt
  • Parmesan cheese (I like the powdered kind for this)

Score the potatoes with a sharp knife, then boil for 10 minutes. Remove the potatoes from water and dunk in cold water. Rub them so the skin comes off (should come right off with this method!). In a bowl, mix a tablespoon of parmesan, a teaspoon of garlic powder, and a teaspoon of salt. Heat oil on med-high (or use a fryer). While the oil is heating cut potatoes into medallions. Fry until golden, then toss in the parmesan mix.

That’s it! Super easy and the family loved it! You can find McCormick’s Skillet Sauces for just $1.99 at your local grocery store!
