So yeah. I gained! But considering it was my birthday this weekend and I didn’t point through Weight Watchers and pretty much ate what I wanted – which was chocolate cake – I am not all that upset over it. 

You only turn 40 once, right?

I noticed a few things while I “took a break”. I found myself choosing healthy options without thinking about it. I had pulled pork without a bun, veggie wraps, eggs in the morning, and low-cal snacks. I did not drink as much water as I normally do so I also know that was a factor.

I also realized something – I am NOT just a number. This includes my weight and age. Since I am now 40 I go into this weird new way of being viewed – I’m “in my forties”. How ODD is that? I don’t feel like what my perception of 40 is. I don’t think I look it. I am still the same person I was at 39, 35, etc. So age – and weight – are just a number. I still feel awesome. THIS is the most important thing to me.
