I love putting salsa on stuff. Sure, the normal chips is perfect, but chicken? or pork? or even veggies?
Yes, yes, and YES.
I was sent a sampling of Mrs. Renfro’s salsa products to try out. Now I haven’t heard of Mrs. Renfro’s before, but I am super glad I was introduced to these products!
This condiment is a holiday favorite – the sweet concoction of corn, onion, sweet pepper and cabbage looks great on a party tray. So yeah….it totally didn’t make it into a chicken dish I had in mind for it. I used it on spinach salad, as a chicken strip dip, and with tortilla chips. Holy yumminess…
A spicy version of our classic salsa – add to just about anything. This was for my husband. He likes it HOT. His salsa. Jeez, gutter minded readers… Anyway, he ate this up with chips and said “oh, I like the kick it has”. Husband approved!
Warm it up and pour over nachos, fresh crisp veggies or enchiladas – also delicious right out of the jar. This one we did warm up and poured over chips and shredded chicken. warm gooey goodness.
The bright flavor of pomegranate with a gentle smoky chipotle undertone. This salsa cries out to be a marinade or glaze. I think this one was my favorite. I am a fan of sweet salsas – I think they go well with so much. This Pomegranate Salsa is super awesome as a traditional-type salsa, but did you know you can mix it with white wine vinegar and make a delicious vinaigrette for salad? Or pour over chicken breasts and bake for a yummy new flavor? You can even use it on your Christmas ham in place of the regular glaze!
