The latest in kid technology is a WINNER in my book – LeapPad’s new LeapFrog Epic! This little guy is packed with a ton of memory, features, and FUN! I have compiled 10 reasons the Epic should be at the top of your list this year!

1. The LeapFrog Epic grows with your child!

Rated for ages 3-9, the Epic has fun activities for for kids with one purpose – to help them learn! My kids (both in kindergarten) are using Just for Me™ learning, which helps them to learn basic math and reading by challenging and rewarding them. The best thing about this is the technology makes it harder and harder when the child masters a level or skill. SCORE!

2. Connect to a kid-friendly web.

With WiFi access the kids can go to popular kids sites like Nick Jr, Time for Kids, Highlights Kids and more. AND parents can add new websites as they see fit. I added Kideos.com, kid-friendly videos! As an added bonus, parents can access the web browser with their 4 digit pass code.

3. Kid-proof straight out of the box.

The LeapFrog Epic, like the other LeapPad tablets, is made durable and kid-proof right away. The Epic has a removable bumper included with the system and is nice and thick for small hands to grasp a hold of, which means less chance of dropping. BUT if it is dropped the Epic has a shatter-proof screen. Kids tend to be tough on their stuff, so it’s nice that LeapPad knows this.

4. GREAT Apps!

Not only are there educational apps made for learning, there are also several fun apps – Fruit Ninja, Doodle Jump, and Toca Boca are just three of the many popular games that are available in the apps store, with more on the way. PLUS with the latest firmware update you can also access Amazon’s app store for even more great apps (I jut loaded it!)

5. The tech specs are sophisticated and smart.

I love that the storage is expandable with an SD card slot. The backlit screen is also easy for kids to see and the resolution is great for a kid’s android tablet. Plus Bluetooth access and a 7″ screen makes it nice and large.

LeapFrog Epic 5

I’m excited for my kids as they grow with the LeapFrog Epic!

I initially thought it was just a sleeker looking Ultra but it’s so much more!
