Easter baskets are often filled with all kinds of sugar and candy. Ugh – this drives me crazy! Candy does nothing for a child other than hypes them up and rots their teeth when it’s excessive.

Sure, I am all about moderation – one or two pieces of candy aren’t going to do much, but I personally prefer things like art supplies, small puzzles, and toys in my childrens’ Easter baskets. I also prefer these things to be long lasting, eco-friendly, and above all FUN!

I was introduced to this fantastic site – Stubby Pencil Studio! Not only is it local to me and owned/operated by a mom just like myself, it is filled with fun and sustainable goodies. Not only for Easter, but for any occasion.

I was sent two Easter Gift Sets for the kiddos which included:

While I am tempted to give this all to my kids now, I am choosing to let the Easter Bunny be the big hero and let them find all of it in their baskets that morning. It will be perfect since we will be spending it out of town – they will have some really fun activities for the 3 hour drive home! I can’t wait to see what fun and colorful drawings they come up with 🙂
