Don't Cook Tonight – Let Michael Angelo's Do the Work! Available at Walmart #Sponsored

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Sometimes I just don’t WANT to cook.

With the kids it’s easy – if I don’t really want to put “effort” into dinner after a long day they are blissfully happy with chicken nuggets and green beans. They could really care less (I mean, come on, they are only 4 years old!). But my husband and I? We can’t really do the cop-out kid food. I’m happy that I have an awesome alternative – Michael Angelo’s!

Most companies make their meals in bulk and then prepackage large orders of food to store in warehouses for weeks or even months at a time. At Michael Angelo’s, we cook, package and ship our meals direct to your grocer. Its our “just in time” approach, and for small companies like ours, it’s the perfect way to marry our small batch cooking methods with a delivery system that is designed to ensure freshness. By cutting out the middleman and shipping our meals directly to the grocer, we can guarantee freshness. On average, our meals are on your grocer’s shelf within days. Other brands may be months old. It’s just another way we protect our family dishes and our family name. And, since the freshest food really does taste better, we wouldn’t have it any other way!

I found out that Michael Angelo’s was available at Walmart, so I hopped over to the brand-new Beaverton Neighborhood Store to pick some up. I found it in the frozen family dinners for a great price!

Screen shot 2014-07-02 at 9.41.07 AMThat night I decided that Chicken Parmesan was calling my name, so I popped it into the oven and went about my evening routine of picking up the living room, throwing a load of laundry in, and sweeping the hallway. Yay – Michael Angelo’s helped me clean my house!!

I loved how easy it was – literally put it in the oven for about 45 minutes and it’s done. Gourmet, fresh, and doesn’t have that kind of spongy/mushy texture that a lot of frozen pastas do. And it had cheese – LOTS of cheese!

I also tried the Eggplant Parmesan – it reminded me of the kind my mom used to make when I was little.
