Ingredients:

5 cup Apple (Chopped and Peeled)

3 tbsp Sugar

3 tbsp Flour

2 tsp Ground Cinnamon

¼ tsp Kosher Salt

2 tbsp Unsalted Butter (Cubed)

3 tbsp Bourbon

2 Premade Pie Crust

1 Large Egg

1 tbsp Water

¼ cup Sparkling Sugar

Directions:

Step 1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees and spray a 9in deep pie dish with baking spray.

Step 2. In medium bowl, mix together the apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt,
and bourbon and mix together.

Step 3. Unroll one of the pie crust, and place into a 9in deep pie pan.

Step 4. Pour the apple mixture into the pie shell.

Step 5. Place the butter over the apple mixture.

Step 6. Place the last pie crust on top of the apple mixture.

Step 7. Pinch the edges together using your fingers or a fork. Using a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water.

Step 8. Using a sauce brush, brush the top of the pie crust with the egg mixture. Sprinkle the sparkling sugar on top. Cut 4 slits into the top of the crust to make for air vents.

Step 9. Place pie onto a cookie sheet. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 450 and then bring the oven temp down to 350 degrees, continue baking for 30-45 minutes or until the top is a beautiful golden brown.

Step 10. Remove from oven and allow to rest for 15 minutes before serving with vanilla ice cream and fresh whipped cream!
